It’s already reported that the Socio-App WhatsApp has been testing its new feature / update to the Android app which will let the users to backup their WhatsApp conversations including chat history, voice messages, photos and videos in the Google Drive account.
Once you do so and in case you want to restore the entire backup in your new device’s Whatsapp application then the company lets you do it in a just a couple taps.
As per the companies statement the new backup feature updates will be rolling out to the users in next few months, but the latest version 2.12.45 for Android is made available in the companies official site and you are desperately want to get these feature you can download the updates from WhatsApp site (by clicking the name you can go to download page).
Once it is updated automatically or manually, the user will get a new screen while opening WhatsApp which will be Google Drive backup options there you can find backup frequency list i.e Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Never now you can select an option as per your wish. Next, you need to select existing Gmail account / add the new account which you wish to have your backup files. Then select which way you prefer to have a backup over WiFi only or WiFi and Cellular. At latest in case you need to include videos in backup just tap on the checkbox to enable it.
