If we buy a new smartphone, the first thing that we will probably do is to get all the contact number’s transferred / export from the old Android device. Unlike media files, you can’t transfer contacts to your PC (Personal Computer) by copy pasting the file.
There is a pretty simple way to get a backup / transfer / export than installing a new app or installing new software on your PC. Without using any software we are going to use Google to import contacts.
Now all you need to do is connect to your WiFi network or mobile data to get the contacts synced with Google.
How to Sync Contacts to Google in Old & New Device:-
Step 1:- Open the “ Settings “ option on your old Android device.
Step 2:- Next select “ Google “ under accounts
Step 3:- If you are signed via more email address means to select the email id which you want to sync the contacts.
Step 4:- There will be a list like Sync App data, Sync Calendar, Sync Contacts and more, then disable the apps which you don’t want to be synced.
Step 5:- If it was getting synced for the first time or it synced a long time back means it will take a long time to get the contact synced and once it is completed it will show current date and time as last synced. That’s it you are done syncing your contact in Google.
Step 6:- Now open your new device and log in with the same email address.
Step 7:- Then do the above same step to get your contacts synced to your new handheld device.
How to Back Up Your Contacts from Android to PC:-
Step 1:- Now all you need to do is open Google Contacts page from your Personal Computer (PC)
Step 2:- Next click “ More ” option which will be the last option.
Step 3:- Then select “ Export “ option which will be before Print option.
Step 4:- Now a new popup will open select “ Go to old contacts “ option.
Step 5:- Select “ More “ option and then click “ Export “ option.
Step 6:- Now make sure it is default selected “ All Contacts “.
Step 7:- Then select your preferred exporting formats like CSV or vcard format.
