How to Fix there was an Error Retrieving Server Information Issue

If you’re one of them who are face issues while downloading new applications or updating the existing apps from the Google Play Store. When you try to download and if you get the following error that “ Could not be downloaded due to an error (Error retrieving information from server [RPC:S-7:AEC-0]) “ means you’re in a write place as we’ll show case how to resolve this issue in this post.

The error RPC error: S -7 is popping up mostly as your having two Google accounts synched. However if you’re getting RPC error: S -3 usually occurs after upgrading to a new version of Android and want to install an update to an application it came from the factory.

How to Fix There was an error retrieving server information:-

First all we have to remove our Google account settings on your handheld device.

Step 1:- Tap on “ Settings “ option > then tap on “ Accounts “ > next tap on “ Google “ > if you’ve multiple accounts select one account and tap on the “ Delete Account or Remove “ which will be in the bottom of the screen.

Check whether you can be able to download or update after trying Step 1 i.e removing one account and if it is resolved means there is no need to go for other steps. If you still face the same problem try below steps after Step 1.

Step 2:- Tap on “ Settings “ option > then tap on “ Applications “ > next tap on “ All “ > after that tap on “ Play Store “ > now tap on “ Clear data “.

Step 3:- Settings > tap on “ Applications “ > then tap on “ All “ > next tap on “ Google Services Framework “ > now tap on “ Clear data “.

Step 4:- Now turn off the device and turn it on again. Then go to Settings > next tap on “ Accounts “ option > then Add Account.

Go to Google Play Store and check now it should work.
