How to Disable Push Notifications on Google Chrome & Firefox

The Push notifications for the web be surely helpful to not miss any of the new notification alerts from specific websites. But you might be regretting agreeing to receive push notification alerts from any specific site and you no longer want to receive any notification alerts on your browser from that website like me.

When I was checking to book room in a hotel online I was accidentally clicked agreed to receive their push notification on Google Chrome and after that I was getting annoying notification from the site on Chrome browser and if you’re also facing similar problem and wishing to turn off Push Notifications on the web then we will help you to get rid of the annoying notification from your browser in this post.

How to Disable Push Notifications on Google Chrome:-

Step 1:- Open your Google Chrome browser first and then all you need to do is copy paste this address “ chrome://settings/contentExceptions#notifications “ in your Chrome address bar and hit enter.
Step 2:- Now a pop-up window will open with the list of all websites which is able to deliver push notification to you.
Step 3:- Select the website entry and a drop-down menu will appear under the Behavior. Select “ Block “ option and then click Finish in the bottom of the pop-up window.

How to Disable Push Notifications on Firefox:-

Step 1:- First of all open Firefox browser then click the “ hamburger “ aka “ three lines “ icon which will be below the close button of the browser.
Step 2:- Now click “ Options “ and then select “ Content “ option in the left side navigation bar.


Step 3:- Next click on “ Choose.. “ under the Notifications subheading.


Step 4:- In the pop-up window, select the site you want to disable receiving notifications from and then click Remove site, Click Save Changes.
